Eligibility Criteria
- To qualify for the Start-Up Visa Program, applicants must meet the requirements set by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), including:
- Have a qualifying business idea with potential for innovation and job creation
- Secure a Letter of Support from a designated organization:
- Venture capital fund (minimum CAD $200,000 investment)
- Business incubator (no fixed capital required, but must be accepted into program)
- Demonstrate proficiency in English or French (CLB level 5 minimum)
- Show ability to settle financially in Canada (proof of funds varies by family size)
- Pass security and medical clearances
- Have no criminal history
