Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must meet the legal conditions defined in the Slovenian Citizenship and immigration legislation, including:
- Hold a valid passport and be a non-EU citizen
- Demonstrate financial independence and integration into society
- Have a clean criminal record both in Slovenia and abroad
- Pay applicable government and processing fees
- Show legal source of funds if applying through business or investment route
- demonstrate Slovenian ancestry (up to second-degree relatives) to qualify for citizenship by descent
- Visit Slovenia when required during the application process and during the citizenship handover ceremony
